Exploring the intersection of culture, medicine, and society.
Evan Fu is a sophomore at St. Mark’s School of Texas. He enjoys playing soccer, playing the piano, drawing, and watching movies.
He is particularly interested in the field of medical anthropology, which explores how cultural beliefs, traditions, and social structures shape the way people understand illness and healing. Across different societies, health is not only a biological experience but also a cultural one—shaped by values, history, and community practices.
Through this project, Evan hopes to explore questions such as how different cultures approach medicine, why medical systems vary across societies, and how cultural perspectives influence modern healthcare. The goal of this site is to present ideas from medical anthropology in an accessible way while encouraging curiosity about how culture and medicine intersect.
